Becki Newton

Becki lived at Guilford, Connecticut. She began appearing in local productions as well as the summer stock theatre at 13. She was a student of European History at the University of Pennsylvania in which time she spent several years overseas. Becki moved immediately to NYC upon graduation, to pursue Broadway. Following her appearance in many national commercials as well as guest star roles, including Cold Case (2003), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), as well as American Dreams (2002), she was offered the role of Amanda in Ugly Betty (2006). She's married to Chris Diamantopoulos and has a brother, who's Matt Newton. When I think of gorgeous women I think of supermodels, but they're not. I'm blessed that I can delegate the work to pros on the job and for red-carpet functions as I'm not sure I'm skilled. Even so, I don't like taking chances when it comes to fashion. The glamour is fun! The point is not to be a fussy person or putting up with your self. I've learned there's no harm in being a little snobby.
